The Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Person

Justice, Equity and Compassion in Human Relations

The Goal of World Community with Peace, Liberty and Justice For All

Grounded in our UU principles and founded in 1940 to save those most at risk of Nazi oppression, the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), is a non-denominational international human rights organization that advances the cause of justice worldwide.  UUSC has four program areas:

· Economic Justice — the right to a living wage

· Environmental Justice — the right to access clean, safe, affordable water

· Civil Liberties — the right to vote, to be free from torture, to be able to speak one’s conscience

· Rights in Humanitarian Crises — the protection of human rights of those most vulnerable, because of race, gender, class, age when natural disasters strike
