Who We Are

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia resides in the planned city of Columbia in Howard County, Maryland.  About midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., UUCC is  liberal religious institution that draws from all religions and seeks a free and independent search for truth and religious meaning.  We believe in pledging our time and vigor to the continuing celebration of spirit, of the world and of humankind.

The Peace Team

The core Peace Team organizes educational, advocacy and action experiences for members, friends and youth of the congregation as part of the UUA Commission on Social Witness Peacemaking congregational study/action issue.

Journey Toward Wholeness

As part of our national UU effort to become more responsive to racial justice issues, and to become a more multi-cultural spiritual community, the Journey Toward Wholeness Team consults with the Joseph Priestley District and other congregations and develops, organizes and facilitates congregational programs, workshops, worship services, religious education courses, forums, films and discussion sessions to increase our understanding of white privilege and institutional racism..
