A Chalice Lighter pledges to respond with a contribution of $20 or more when the Call comes to “Light the Chalice” somewhere in the Joseph Priestley District. There are three calls each year.
Chalice Lighter grants enable congregations to grow and to spread Unitarian Universalist values in our district. UUCC has received several Chalice Lighter grants, most recently to establish our Share Ministry Facilitator.
Chalice Lighter grants have helped congregations to buy land, build a sanctuary, hire a religious education or music professional or a minister and to organize a new congregation.
If you want to make Unitarian Universalism available to others, please become a Chalice Lighter. And if you already are a Chalice Lighter, please consider increasing your pledge.
